Wedding date: 08/08/2008
Wedding location: Canada
Our ceremony took place at the gazebo in Queen's Royal Park, Niagara-on-the-Lake. With the stunning blue sky and lake, and the gorgeous green of the surrounding space, it made for a wonderful backdrop as we exchanged our vows.
This location holds special meaning for my husband and I, as it was where he took me on our first date.

Horse and carriage ride with my parents.
Arriving at the ceremony site and trying to control my veil - it was windy!

Guest wedding favors: sandalwood fans which I had hand-tied with periwinkle silk ribbon. The favors were in a white wicker basket lined with striped cloth in our wedding colours.

Standing with my amazing bridal party, who along with the groom's fantastic groomsmen, helped us to ensure the day ran smoothly.
They also spent 8 hours helping my groom and I decorate our reception hall the day before our wedding!
The bridesmaids are wearing After Six dresses. Their bouquets were hand-tied white and chartreuse roses with seeded eucalyptus.
My bouquet consisted of blue hydrangea (one of my favourite flowers and inspiration for the wedding colour scheme), cymbidium orchids (same as above), freesia, and white alstromeria.
All flowers were beautifully done by Dobbie's Flowers in Niagara Falls.

Being us...this is a reason we don't wear white very often!

Sharing an intimate moment with my husband at sunset. I love how our photographer captured the beautiful sky.
