The bridal bouquet was orange circus roses and green cymbidium orchids wrapped with ti leaves. Lori and Joseph exchanged Leis of Aloha with each other and each guest. Joseph wore a maile and dendrobium orchid lei while Lori wore a traditional, three strand pikake jasmine lei. Florist:Casey Sparks from Martin Roberts Floral Design.

Since there was no formal bridal party, Joseph and Lori asked their guests to wear "Resort Whites" in shades of white, cream and tan. Each guest received a Lei during the ceremony; males received kukui nut and seashell leis while the women doned green and white dendrobium orchid leis.

The bride and groom chose to see each other before the ceremony and stole away for some private portraits with their photographer.

During the cocktail hour while the guitar jazz duo entertained their guests, Lori and Joseph had an impromptu first dance.

The reception tables were filled with aqua glass that the couple shipped to Hawaii. The aqua plates, goblets, votives along with the burlap table runners, lauhala favor boxes and seashells all set the tropical beachy mood. The floral centerpieces echoed the bride and grooms green and orange scheme with green and white dendrobium as well as orange mokara orchids.

Since they were married on the East Shore and the sun set behind the mountains, Lori and Joseph headed to the serene North Shore with their photographer the day after the wedding to capture some wonderful photos on the beach at sunset.

It rained a bit and there was even a rainbow. The sky provided a dramatic backdrop for some less than traditional wedding photos.
