I'm from California and my husband is from New York. How the HECK did we meet? To make a long story short- I had just enough 'Nerve'. Read 'Our Story' at www.jackieandalex.com if you'd like all the juicy details! =)

It started raining towards the end of our photo shoot but it proved to be much more fun with the elements. After this shoot, I had to rush my cocktail dress to Madame Paulette's to press in time for the party. Since my wedding dress was 30 POUNDS of fabric, I was on a mission to find the cocktail dress that would allow me to be a little lighter on my toes. I was very lucky to find this one, a Melissa Sweet dress, at one of Kleinfeld's trunk shows in NYC. It was made just in time for my wedding. The cutest thing about it, which you can't see in this picture, is that it bustles in the back to look like a 'mini-wedding dress'. You can bet I had a great time on the dance floor!

You can always depend on New York's finest. In this case, a cab ride when you need it (especially when it's raining out!). After walking blocks around the Meatpacking District for this photo shoot we were both pretty exhausted. I never thought I would last in these shoes but, fortunate for me, they were the most comfortable pair of heels I've ever owned. I wore them throughout my entire wedding, from beginning to end, and not a thought of discomfort entered my mind. Stuart Weitzman was worth every dollar! By the way, there's the little bustle on my dress you couldn't see in the last picture =).

We took this picture on the rooftop of my old residence. You can see the northern view of Manhattan's skyline from Murray Hill. One of my favorite pictures because it captured so much emotion- being in love, floating in the clouds, on top of the world... together.

Here we are after climbing up a few rocks to the perfect picture spot. Can't believe my Amsale dress (designed by Kenneth Pool) stayed white! I should also mention that my husband loved his custom tailored suit made by Ben Straub from 12Threads. Without this service he'd be donning 3/4 length sleeves with his suit! Doesn't this picture kind of remind you of a scene from one of Tim Burton's movies?

Although it felt like I was doing bicep curls each time I picked up my bouquet, I absolutely adored it. My floral designer, Giovanna from Diana Gould Ltd., created an amazing display of flowers for my entire wedding.
