My beautiful vintage-inspired hand-beaded and hand-embroidered dress by Lazaro. It had a filigree design that honored the art-deco era vintage engagement ring that belonged to Michael's grandmother and great-grandmother. Hair and make-up by Teryn Markland. Flowers by Flower Gallery.

We had an outdoor wedding and chose colors to reflect the colors of nature. We used origami paper from Papergami to tie together all the paper goods of the day. The colors of the paper were green tea, pink, chocolate brown and gold.

Our beautiful cake was by Susan Caplan of Patisserie C. It was delicious and decadent vanilla and chocolate cake with different fillings all in buttercream (she thinks fondant tastes like sweet rubber tires). Topped with pink cymbidium orchids, with a silver cake stand and filigree cake server and knife.

I hand made our place cards from Martha Stewart Card stock, trimmed with our theme origami paper from Papergami. Calligraphy done by friend, bridesmaid and artist, Shuko Kawase. The colors of the wedding luckily coincided with the colors of the meals: pink for salmon, brown from filet mignon, green for the vegetarian portobello mushroom tower and gold for the cornish game hen!

An inexpensive way to add the finishing touch to your wedding is by using lighting. We hired Quickbeam Lighting to create a "gobo" light, which reflected our theme filigree onto the canopy of our tent. It provided soft pink lighting to our evening event and looked great as a back drop to the green lanterns.

We had our friend, bridesmaid and artist, Shuko Kawase, create our brush-calligraphed monogram to reflect both our new hyphenated name, del Castillo-Hegyi, and made a personalized rubber stamp with it. We made these programs from brown cardstock, stamped with with gold ink and bound them with our signature origami from Papergami. Program and binding by Shannon Barnhill and Val Burch of Affairs to Remember.

These were hand made paper cones made from specialty paper from Papergami, with cardstock backing to provide strength, wrapped with chartreuse ribbon from May Arts. The bouquets were of simple pink roses made by Val Burch of Affairs to Remember.
