The wedding nuptials took place during a traditional Irish Catholic wedding ceremony at St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre, New York. The runner was hand painted by the Original Runner Company, with the design and logo by the Groom, a graphic designer, who reflected the design he had created for the stationery in the aisle runner. The E&A logo, shown in this photo, was also embossed on the wedding invitations and Mass programs. The silver pocket-fold invitation opened up to the enclosed elegant pink and silver detailing with small pretty pink orchids on the invitation, direction card, reception card, and RSVP card. The orchids were also reflected on the corners of the runner but this time they were in silver!
There were many guests from Ireland at the wedding, as the groom is from County Donegal, Ireland and the bride's father and maternal grandparents are/were from Ireland. Eileen and Anthony met and quickly fell in love in Ireland, three months after Eileen (from Long Island, New York) had moved to Dublin (six years before their wedding day). Hence, the Irish culture was an important part of the day and it was reflected throughout the ceremony and the reception. The reception and after-hours celebration was held at The Royalton, in Roslyn Heights, New York. The festivities continued until the wee hours of the morning and included the bride spontaneously deciding to Irish step dance in her long wedding gown, along with her sister/maid of honor and other close friends. The celebration concluded with a traditional Irish Session where the bride and two friends joined the fun by playing the Bodhran, a traditional Irish instrument.

Following the ceremony, the bride, the groom and their families, along with the bridal party went to the Old Westbury Gardens in Old Westbury, New York for photos. Here is a stunning shot of the bride and groom sharing a romantic kiss in the gardens.

This is an amazing shot of the bridal party! The theme of the wedding was pink and silver. The bridesmaids all wore grapefruit pink gowns, by Watters and Watters, with silver ribbons except, for the Maid of Honor (the bride's sister) who wore a distinguishing cotton candy pink ribbon with her gown. The groomsmen, wore silver ties to match the bridesmaids' ribbons. The lovely ladies also had pretty pink parasols, which helped to create many elegant vintage garden shots.

The bride enjoyed planning the wedding down to each fine detail with every detail interlinking with one another. These three photos display some of the finer details of the wedding.
Eileen gave each bridesmaid their own beautiful Swarovski Crystal initial pin to place on their bouquet. The cotton candy pink ribbon, which only the Maid of Honor had and the crystal 'K', lets us all know that this first photo is of Eileen's sister, Kathleen. The gorgeous flowers were supplied by Stefan's, Cedarhurst, New York.
The pink and silver petal cones were given to guests following the ceremony and the petals created many fabulous shots as the bride and groom exited the Church.
The groom's elegant E&A Logo along with small orchids were shown throughout the day, including on the invitations, the Mass programs, the table number cards, the labels for the favors, which were bottles of wine from Pindar Vineyards, and on the cake. In order to link all the details together, Anthony also supplied the logo, orchids and typography graphics to the couple's New York wedding videographer and to their Irish videographer (who filmed an introductory of the bride and groom's wedding video, which was shot in Dublin where the couple met) to utilize in the videos. This kept everything consistent and beautifully detailed.
The gorgeous contemporary pink cake with silver detailing (provided by The Royalton, Roslyn Heights, New York) included the bride's and groom's logo. A letter 'G', the initial of the groom and bride's new surname, was added to the E&A logo on the cake and on the table number cards to represent the change that occurred from the church to the reception...Eileen and Anthony marrying and becoming one family name! This was not used on the invitations, as the couple wanted to wait to add the 'G' until they were married and it was official!

An elated bride and groom enjoying the hot August day and seeking the protection of a white parasol, which the bride purchased on the "Knot". The brides traditional wedding gown was from the Priscilla of Boston Platinum Collection designed by Kenneth Pool and the elaborate gown included Swarovski Crystals and pearls. The bride matched the royal detailing of the dress with a Swarovski Crystal tiara which also had pearl detailing. Eileen truly felt like a princess that day as her childhood wedding dreams all came true...most importantly marrying her soul-mate Anthony!
