This is one of my favorite pictures - our wedding cake (by Westbury Manor - traditional tiered with dark purple and lavender roses) is in the background & I think we look like cake toppers!

I made all the programs for the church myself. I used Wilton pre-cut card stock & pre-made program templates, my own photo printer, and then attached Martha Stewart crafting pearls to the center of each one. (I got all the supplies from Michael's Arts & Crafts). I used plum and black ink to match my fall theme & my girls dresses.

We were married in my childhood church. I was wearing a cathedral length veil for the ceremony. My flower girls threw lavender, plum, and white silk rose petals. We couldn't have real petals so as not to stain in the church - Precious Petals are wonderful, you can find them in Michael's Arts & Crafts & they are the prettiest - they don't look fake and tacky like some of the more plasticy ones & some of them are sheer and give a *sparkly* effect.

We hired a caricature artist (Creativity Zone) to entertain our guests - he was alot of fun. We had him do the drawings in color, and so many guests have told me that they have had theirs framed & it was a wonderful memento - also it gave the non-dancers something to do!

My girls dresses were plum (David's Bridal) and their bouquets were full of different shades of purple. (roses, lilies, baby breath - Hass Florist) I bought them matching pearl necklaces and earrings to wear as gifts. I also had very subtle hints of lavender in my tiara, necklace, and earrings.

My bridesmaids and I spent countless hours putting together the centerpieces ourselves. The hurricane glass is from The Christmas Tree Shoppe as are the white candles & white and clear stones that are surrounding the candle. The organza ribbon & bags are from Michael's Arts & Crafts, and the mini-party rice lights (that run on AAA battery packs that aren't even visible because I put them in gold organza bags) are from Ikea. (We intertwined the organza with the party lights to get the effect we wanted.) So many of my guests told me it was a nice change from flowers and that it is something they can always keep in their homes now. Also, it feels so good to be able to say my girls and I made them ourselves - & not to mention they were extremely affordable & yet still elegant. It's amazing what you can think up if you just get creative!

We chose Westbury Manor - a Victorian mansion as our reception venue because of its old world charm. Since it was fall there was a cozy feeling all around us and the colors in the gardens were gorgeous. This picture was taken in the gardens shortly after we were sipping some hot apple cider!
