Submitted by: Heather Canada, ABC (planner)
Wedding date: 03/29/2008
Wedding location: Florida

Kimberly and Victor met in high school, but a tragic accident brought them back together years later. Kimberly has been by Victor's side through his recovery, and their wedding day brought extra emotions to their families. This photo was taken as the newlyweds were leaving the historic Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, built in 1904.

Kimberly wanted a look of old Hollywood glamor, and had a custom monogram created. The monogram was used on the ceremony programs, aisle runner, banners on the church doors, and the dance floor at the reception.

Adding to the Hollywood feel, a red carpet and tent were placed at the entrance to the ballroom at the Omni Hotel Jacksonville. Moving lights added to the "premier" look, and all the guests took a turn walking the red carpet between the cocktail hour and the reception.

The Florida Ballroom was decorated in black and ivory, with the tables and chairs covers alternating throughout the room. A combination of round and square tables were used to add visual interest. Pale pink accents added a romantic touch, and pink lighting enhanced the soft glow.

A canopy was built to enhance the cake table and make it a focal point in the room. The florist, Wilson's Limited, did a spectacular job creating the soft structure to accent the cake by Edgewood Bakery. The bride and groom sat with their parents and the table directly in front of the cake display.

In keeping with Kimberly's theme, each table was named after a Hollywood star. But rather than just naming the tables, the frames included a photo of the celebrity as well as a short sentence about their career. It was quite the conversation starter during dinner!

Kimberly and her parents fell in love with this pink seating group when they saw it at PRI Productions. It's not surprising that after all the guests had left the reception they took a moment to sit down and enjoy it!
