Instead of a Guest book, we decided to have people leave us messages and advice for a happy marriage (called a Wishing Tree). We loved reading through all of them and not have them in a memory book.

This cake was made by Vincente Diaz at Let Them Eat Cake in Des Moines, IA. It was the most amazing cake I have ever eaten (flavor being white chocolate cake with butter cream frosting).

The groom's father passed away from cancer a few months before the wedding so to honor him, instead of people clinking our glasses to get us to kiss, they had to make a donation to the American Cancer Society and could then ring the bell (we called it Kiss for the Cure). We made over $175!!
