Taken through an ancient iron gate at the Basilica San Miniato in Florence. I can't exactly remember what he said to me at this moment, but I love that my husband Shizen can always find a way to make me laugh. And I love that he is holding my bouquet in this shot!

Our first kiss as husband and wife during the ceremony in the opulent Sala Rossa (Medici's former bedroom)at the famous Palazzo Vecchio. It seems from the background that all of our friends and family were trying to take a picture of this very moment at the same time!! We felt so honored to have 60 guests make the long and expensive journey to Italy to share in our day and help make it as memorable as it was!

Carriage ride to the ceremony with my girls in front of the famous Duomo. All the crowds were clapping and shouting "Auguri" which means congratulations in Italian as we made our way through the streets to the ceremony. I thought I’d be uncomfortable about making a spectacle of myself, but the sincerity of the well-wishers eased my nerves and allowed me to savor the fairy-tale moment.

I'm so envious! we were going to get married in italy but decided to do it in los angeles instead - i think we are going to do our renewal of vows in italy. WONDERFUL pictures! congratulations!

Frenchican?? That's very cute! You'll love this then. My husb and I are renting an apartment this Christmas in Paris. We'll be there for just over a week before going to the South of France and Spain. When everything is done, we will have been there for just over 3 weeks. We honeymooned for only a week in NYC, but since we prefer to take long trips, this is more like our real honeymoon. The building you see in my last pic is the Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA. Frank Gehry is the architect. It is a really cool building, but the seating on the inside is not very comfy. :-) I'm glad your mom liked our photos... I like getting approvals from moms!

I mentioned to my husband you got married in Florence and that you would "hook us up" if we decided to do it there too.... I didn't get a "no," so I may take you up on your offer... some day. :-P Congratulations on your new baby girl, she has such a sweet name, "beautiful light." Bianca, I just read the comment you left on the Dean entry. Again, I just have to tell you how kind and classy you are- it is refreshing to see at this point in the contest! I am so sorry that your entry was also targeted- in my opinion it is one of the best on here. You aren't cheating, because so many of your views likely came from me haha! Jessica, we chose soon after our entry not comment during this contest as a result of the negative comments made on our pictures by "Sarah Keller;" but, after reading yours, I thought you deserved a response from me, the real Cenny. I asked all my supporters not to respond to the nasty comments made on my pages or to comment on anyone else's wedding, but just to vote for me, and I see they have done just that. People have left so many rude and negative comments, some signing in as me and my husband and as if they were friends of ours. Because this was definitely unacceptable, to sign as if we were leaving the comments, we asked The Knot to remove them. Other than that, we could care less what someone says about us during this contest because we know they really don't know us, and we are not offended so easily. I read one entry where a bride cried because of such comments, sad but it shows you gotta have a backbone to deal with this kind of backbiting. With that said, I don't know who "D. Washington" is or any of the others that are commenting on my pages, yours, or the others during this contest. "Washington" may be one of my supporters but I'm sorry I do not know who she/he is and regret that it's assumed that I do. This entire contest has been very discouraging to me and my husband and we will never enter another one, at least not one where anybody can leave any kind comments saying just about anything they want. As a matter of fact, we could care less whether we win or not, at this discouraging point of the contest! I really do appreciate the kind comments you and others have given, but chose not to respond to those either. Just remember there are really mean, hateful, and just plain rude people hiding behind the Internet which, in fact, allows them to show their true colors. I strongly believe, "you reap what you sow" (Galatians 6:7) so they'll get it back one way or another. Cenny

I have previously expressed my sentiments on your entry and thought I would offer some more encouragement today, not that you actually need it. You have an abundance of supporters, but I couldn't help myself. Every time I view your photos (which I do regulary to vote for you) I am once again transported to a time and place of your special event.

Also, thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for your kind compliments about my daughter; yes, she was my maid of honor and she is an amazing young woman. Shoot! I wanted to be married in Italy too :) My husband and I love Italy (although we have never been there, ha ha), but ultimately, the distance and the logistics were a deterring factor. It is just as well, getting married by the ocean side has been a long standing dream of mine and it all worked out for the best. Still, your wedding was absolutely magnificent. The location/setting acted as an oil-painting backdrop for the unfolding story, as if the location itself was one of the leading characters in your story.
