Allan and I had so much fun on our special day! From the day we met (on the internet) to our wedding day, we have truly been lucky in love ---and remain so!
By nature, we are both quite detail-oriented. (I couldn't have been luckier to have met a man who is just as detailed as I am!) We felt it was very important to incorporate our creativity and craftiness into our wedding. This photo is a collage that highlights some of our favorite wedding details.
From left to right, top to bottom: my bouquet of cymbidium orchids; calla lily table centerpieces and card numbers (designed by us); wish tree (created by me); candy buffet; boxed invitation; custom gobo lighting (designed by Allan); menu cards and lottery tickets (designed by us); more custom gobo lighting (designed by Allan) and last but not least - the escort card votives (designed by us).

Our ceremony was held at the beautiful Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Washington, D.C. The elegance of the church's interior was the perfect backdrop for us to commit ourselves to one another. It truly was a precious moment between us, our family and friends.

Summer in Our Nation's Capital is no joke! Amidst the tourists who flocked to the monuments that day, our bridal party came out looking like they had just stepped out one of my bridal magazines! Despite the heat and humidity, our groomsmen and bridesmaids were ever cooperative, and that made the experience all the more worthwhile. I love how even the Lincoln Memorial played its part on our special day.

Girls just wanna have fun! Some of my bridesmaids and I shared a laugh as we walked to our next photo location. Even the heat and humidity couldn't keep us from smiling and laughing that day.

Planning our wedding from the San Francisco area, where we are now based, was not an easy task! Allan is from California and I am a native Washingtonian, so it was only fitting that we had our wedding in D.C., where most of my family and friends live. D.C.'s cultural and historical landscape served as the perfect setting for our wedding story. The Washington Monument in the background captures the essence of the city's grandeur, and adds a special touch to this photo of my husband and I.

"Let them eat cake! Not only did our cake look good, but it tasted even better: flavorful lemon cake surrounded by a layer of vanilla cheesecake and pistachio marzipan. It was carefully designed by our special cake designer, Peter Brett, Allan, and myself. We took our inspiration from the Tiffany & Co. gift boxes to keep with our "Tiffany" blue and chocolate brown color motif.

This was our first dance; my absolute favorite picture of all! Our reception was held in the Atrium of The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center just steps from the National Mall and The White House. The usually wide open space was turned into a magical ballroom where our family and friends came together to share in our joy. This moment was one of our many "firsts," and it kicked-off the most memorable night of our lives!
