The dates on the program were wrong because Hurricane Bertha pushed the wedding back one day. The couple, along with their guests, cruised down to Bermuda on Explorer of the Seas. The ship stayed out at sea on what would have been their wedding day while the storm passed. The couple's wedding planner, Kay-Annie Reid-Young, of Kreative Koncepts saved the day!
The bride and groom were to be married during a beachside ceremony with a reception to follow at the Bermuda Maritime Museum. The date change resulted in a venue change and the ceremony was moved to the balcony of the Maritime Museum, with an amazing view of the ocean and the cruise ship. The beachside ceremony was a no-go because of concerns about the weather and the waves. As it turns out, the weather on the couple's wedding day could not have been more beautiful!

The winds from the hurricane were still going strong, but the day didn't show any other signs of the chaos that came before the big day.
Twenty four guests joined the bride and groom for their destination wedding. The cruise set sail from Bayonne, New Jersey- not far from the couple's home in Staten Island, NY. The bride and groom were excited to incorporate their love for traveling with their love for one another as they began their life together.

The destination wedding was an intimate affair. The banquet table was lined with orange and pink gerbera daisies placed in alternating vases, also in orange and pink. Orange and pink petals lined the table, along with starfish, sand dollars and seashells. Candles of different heights ran the length of the table, complimenting the gorgeous chandelier. Each guest received a Bermuda Rum Cake as a favor. A map of the island was the focal point of each individual place setting.
