Our Fairy Tale Disney Wedding

Something Old and Something Barrowed. The pearls belonged to my Grandmother and the carved ivory earrings I barrowed from my Mother, they had belonged to her Mother.

I made the ring "pillow" myself. It is a silk red rose in a little wicker basket. There is a hidden Mickey made from pearl head pins in the bow. My nephew was our ring bearer.

I love my RED shoes! I had blue crystals on the bottom with our initials and our wedding date. A hidden Mickey was between our initials. The blue crystals where my something blue.

Our ceremony was held at Disney's Wedding Pavilion. After the ceremony we had photos taken on the beach outside the Wedding Pavilion. This was taken by our Cousin Rebekah. My dress is Allure Brides and from Catan Fashion in Cleveland, Ohio.

I made the bouquets myself at Disney's Polynesian Resort where we stayed. They are Charlotte Red roses, green Cymbidium Orchids, and dark burgundy Calla Lilies from fiftyflowers.com.

I drew a picture of my cake and the magical Disney Pastry Chefs took it from there. Green fondant with red and brown accents, green Cymbidium Orchids and a castle topper. The flavors were red velvet cake with cream cheese, marble cake with Bailey's mousse, and dark chocolate cake with raspberry mousse. It tasted amazing! Our reception was held at Disney's Contempory Resort's California Grill overlooking The Magic Kingdom.

Your dress is beautiful! I am from Michigan, but my husband lived in Akron during our engagement and I visited Canton Fashions on one of my visits down there. Your shoes are such a wonderful touch too.
