This photograph captures the secret that I had hidden within my bouquet. I had the photographs of my dear grandfathers and loved ones with me all day.
The flowers were done by Sofia Floral. I lost count of how many roses were in my bouquet after I reached 5 dozen!! Some of the roses had rhinestones in them so it really sparkled in the sunshine.

This was taken the moment that we were leaving the church. Instead of confetti or flower petals, we gave each guest a noisemaker to raise a joyful noise in celebration of our marriage.

This photograph was actually taken at the bus/train depot downtown Kalamazoo. It was a new building that had just recently opened up and it had such beautiful architecture.
My mom and I made the girls bouguets a few months earlier out of silk peonies.
The girls dresses were from David's Bridal.

The guys also had their photos taken at the bus/train depot. I love it. They look like such tough guys...like they are part of the mafia or something.
The tuxs came from After Hours Tuxedos.

This cake had been my dream cake ever since I laid eyes on it about 7 years ago. I wanted something simple, clean and elegant. I searched high and low for a bakery that would make this cake out of carrot cake. In the end, Continental Bakery in Battle Creek made my dream come true. The flowers on the cake were provided by Sofia Floral.

We were having a plated meal where the guests chose their meal when they got to the reception. I wanted to provide their options in an elegant menu, but I just couldn't find what I wanted that worked with my budget. In the end, my creative side got the better of me and I designed and made the menu myself exactly the way that I wanted it. It turned out perfect and I would not have changed a thing.

I was never a big fan of guest books, however, I did want a momento of everyone that was able to celebrate with us. We provided a matted photograph for our guests to sign so that we will always have the well wishes of our guests on display.
