I do not think that I stopped smiling once during the entire ceremony. The day had really come, I felt like it was a dream the entire time. I am still not sure how I walked down the isle to him, I could not feel my feet! The gazebo was decorated in Tulle, and my nana cut beautiful piece of glass to be hung and sparkle in the sunlight. Granted, the sun did not come out for us, but it was still absolutely beautiful. The isle was lined with mums, the most beautiful I have ever seen, courtesy of my Aunt Ginny.
My god father, my Uncle Bobby, walked me down the isle. I love him like a father, and he has been there my entire life. He also read a beautiful speech he had wrote during the ceremony, bringing a tear to everyone’s eye with his kind words about both of us, our families, and our fathers.

Our cake was made by the Cake Lady in Meriden, CT. It was a tribute to our Tuscan Romance theme, and had sugar grapes that mimicked the centerpieces. The best part of the cake was the taste though. One of the only things my husband perked up about was picking the flavor, and he choose a raspberry Chambord cake for the bottom layer, a raspberry whipped filling, and a dark chocolate top layer. Yummm.

If my mother had not been the woman that she is, none of this wedding would have even existed, and I need to thank her before anyone else. She is amazing. Never once did she laugh at an idea, she just started figuring out how we could do it. Instead of a father daughter dance, I opted for a mother daughter dance. I love her; she is my best friend in the world.

My mother made all of the flowers for the entire wedding. Between my mother, aunt, sister, and various other family, we pretty much hand crafted the entire wedding. We really wanted to show that a home made wedding can be amazingly elegant and not cost a fortune. It was a dream wedding.

Keeping with the romantic Tuscan theme, we decided to give away mini bottles of lemoncello as our favors. They were all tied with satin bows with our names on it. Also on the favor table, we honored both of our fathers. Tj's father, on the left had passed away a year earlier, and my father had passed away five year prior. They were great guys, and we know they were there with us in spirit.

A few months before the wedding, I had a dream I was walking up the isle, got to the end, turned to look out into the crowd, and saw the Burger King from the commercials sitting in the front row waving at me. It was the scariest dream ever..haha. I told my mom about this, and she teased me that she was really going to have someone do that. Well, no burger king at the ceremony, but he did show up at the reception. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life, my cousin Zachary put on the mask, and attacked me on the dance floor. Everyone got a kick out of it.
My cousin Zachary passed away exactly two weeks later. He was only twenty two, and taken out of this world to soon. He was one of the highlights of the entire weekend, putting a smile on so many peoples face, and I know he is still with us all.
