The wedding party consisted of Doug's sister and best friend, Seth's brother, sister and best friend. The men wore black Calvin Klein tuxes and the ladies silver Jessica McClintock gowns reminiscent of Old Hollywood. Seth had multi-strand pearl necklaces made as gifts to the "best gals." Doug and Seth each were escorted down the aisle by their moms to "Homme" from the Brazilian Girls. They were met at the end of the aisle by Doug's dad, a judge, who performed their ceremony. After the ceremony, they walked back down the aisle to "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys. Later, the first dance was danced to Joss Stone's version of the same Beach Boy classic. Our entire event was held at the Los Angeles Athletic Club, a 125+ year old club that claims Charlie Chaplin and Rudolph Valentino among its members. The dramatic lighting helped emphasize the wonderful architecture of the space. (Lighting: Broadcast Support)

As a contrast to the purity of white that dominated the ceremony, a sultry color scheme was chosen for the cocktail and reception spaces. Tables were covered in rich chocolate linens, with criss-crossing scarlet runners. Clusters of white roses were chosen for centerpieces to tie the sultry back to the pure. (Flowers: GD Designers. The cake was death by chocolate and had a white chocolate vine motif over dark ganache, with a raspberry/dark chocolate mousse filling. Since there was no garter to toss and no one wanted to catch a pair of boxer shorts, swan-shaped creme puffs were created for each unmarried guest. Two swans held silver rings, waiting to predict the next two to tie the knot. We cut the cake to "Pour Some Sugar on Me" - Def Leppard. (Caprice French Pastries)

Everything was more wonderful and magical than either Seth or Doug could have imagined... and now Seth wants to get married once a month! The best thing actually happened the day after the wedding when we found out that some of our guests had reservations about gay marriages. Attending our wedding changed their opinion! Love is LOVE!
