After spending 12 years together, we finally set the date. We mailed photo Save the Date magnets announcing the upcoming marriage. We included our wedding website address so guests could be updated on all upcoming events.
When we did so, we had no idea how important the website would become. With less than 3 weeks to go before our wedding, we were told the reception site would not be finished in time. We were in the hunt of our lives to find a site that could accomodate 330 people the same weekend Houston was hosting a regional final for the NCAA Basketball Tournament. The website kept everyone informed of all our changes.

We chose a simple, classic design for the wedding invitation which matched our colors of gold and teal. The engraved invitation was printed by The Event House.
Also shown are the Tacori engagement and wedding ring.

The gown is from the Fall 2007 Collection for Mori Lee. The beaded, scalloped lace over the sweetheart neckline with draped detail on the torso of this 2172 Mori Lee Wedding Dress. Two-tiered, asymmetrical overskirts with pleated edging on the multi-layered ruffled skirt continues around onto the chapel length train.

A collage of the flowers designed by Lisa Tran of Wedding Flowers by Lisa. There were 33 tables with 3 different designs. The centerpieces were either a tall wrought iron flower arrangement or a low, lush flower arrangement with the same flowers or lastly, tall glass lanterns with candles. All tables included flower petals and votive candles. The tall centerpieces were arranged in wrought iron stands with orange snaps, orange lillies, big fun, light orange roses, spray oranges, viburnum, profeas, safari sunset and contained multiple peacock feathers.
Also shown are the bridesmaid bouquets, Mothers and Grandmothers nosegay, bridal bouquet, and the linens by Distinctive Details. Flowers used in the wedding matched the wedding colors of teal and gold. The bridal bouquet included white orchids, green cymbidium orchids, stephanotis, ivory roses, and calla lillies. The bridesmaid bouquets & the nosegays included orange spray roses, big fun, light hydrangeas, brown berries, and Italian ruscus.
The table and chair linens were provided by Distinctive Details. Tables had elegant ivory linen tablecloths with taupe swirl chiffon overlays with a ribbon border. The banquet chairs had taupe sateen slipper covers with white organza sashes.
Also pictured are the Waterford glasses my parents received as a wedding gift that were used at my older sister's wedding in 2000 and hopefully, will also be used at my younger sister's wedding. We toasted one another with them and the family hopes to make the glasses a family tradition for generations to come.

This is a collage of some of my favorite photos.
Included are 2 at the altar immediately following the ceremony & the limousine ride to the reception.
Once we got to the reception, we stopped for a private, tender moment before entering.
The wedding reception had a very intimate feel with a personal touch. The dinner reception was held at Union Station's Great Hall at Minute Maid Park. This structure was named one of Houston's Historical Landmarks in 1977. It made for a historic celebration at an historic site. The candlelight room had a high domed ceiling with marble pillars.

Cutting the bridal cheesecake designed by Bavarian Cakery. The cake was a 5 tiered square and hexagonal confection with each tier decorated in a different design. Our initial P was on the top tier of the cake and was included on many wedding details, from the invitations to the programs.

Our beautiful wedding party at the altar of Saint Anne's Catholic Church. The bridesmaids wore strapless, ruched teal satin gowns that wrapped to the pleated, shirred waist which matched the style of my Mori Lee gown. The dresses were designed by JS Boutique. The dresses were originally full length but were altered to tea length in hopes the girls would be more likely to wear them again. The groom and the groomsmen wore Calvin Klein tuxes from the Men's Warehouse.
