To incorporate our beach theme our florist added small starfish to the bouquets and made the boutonieres out of them as well. We also used a nuatilus shell for a ring pillow.

When it came to deciding on a cake we wanted something that would WOW our guests. We finally found the perfect unique beachy cake. The cake consisted of 3 teirs of "sea urchins" on a stand made of real driftwood. It was surrounded by edible sand and shells.

To cut down on costs we did our own decorating. The centerpieces consisted of staggered blue beach glass bottles, coral, & starfish. Then we sprinkles the tables with tiny glass marbles & miniture sandollars.

It was important to us to make sure our son felt included in the ceremony. He was our ring bearer and also helped my father walk me down the isle. He had his own vase of sand for the sand ceremony as well, to remind him that the 3 of us are inseperable. My husband also surprised everyone with a Bagpiper to lead us out, paying tribute to our Scotch-Irish heritage.

If you've ever tried to find the perfect blue you know how hard it can be. After months of searching for the right cut, neckline, length, and of course... color, we simplified. Since every girl needs a little black dress, that's what my girls got. This allowed us to coordinate them better with the guys and allowed us to go a little wild with accessories. The girls wore teal necklaces, bangles and flats. The guys wore matching ties!

We shot our portraits at the Harbor in front of my husbands family home. We ran into some friends that had been walking their dogs. We decided to use their Scout international as a backdrop. It was perfect and couldn't have been planned better.

This Scout International belongs to some friends that happened to be at the harbor where we went for our portraits. The beautiful blue and the wet labs hanging out the windows made for some of the best photos.
