Screenshot 1: Peter and I eloped to the coast of Italy one year, to the day, after our first date. We created this website to share our amazing experience with our friends and family. Our opening home page scrolls through images of the seaside village we married in and the second page provides some of the details of our elopement. We created the banner on the top of each page from a photo of the bouquet.

Screenshot 2: We included pages to show photos before, during, and after the ceremony (each section has a short slideshow), as well as a page for acknowledging our parents, an About Us page to give a little bit of our history, and a final page to show some of our favorite photos from our non-wedding days in Italy. Since we eloped, we did not include any sort of gift registry, but we did add links to some of our favorite charities, hoping that people will donate to these causes instead of sending us gifts.

Screenshot 3: We couldn't find a wedding website that had the slide show capacity and other features we wanted. We found that we could customize to our hearts' content on Smugmug, however, so we started with a simple photo gallery and have gradually tweaked it over a few months, giving it a customized look and navigation. As a novice website builder, it has been quite a learning experience to work with the CSS and html code.
