The Proposal Re-enacted & The Bride Sings, "Love You I Do," by Jennifer Hudson
Submitted by: Frank/CennyC. Norris (bride)
Wedding date: 11/24/2007
Wedding location: Upper Marlboro, Maryland
Re-Enactment of The Proposal: Frank thought something serious had happened to Cenny when he returned after parking the car and she seemly disappeared. The actual proposal occurred at night. The full video was included in the DVD wedding invitation. Reception: Cenny sings to Frank, "Love You I Do," by Jennifer Hudson. Frank was really surprised, and enjoyed it so much that he responded by singing, "So Amazing" by Luther Vandross. Cenny's no Jennifer Hudson but she sung that song to her man!

My Apologies Cenny. I can't take it anymore. Ackerman and myself have left numerous negative comments on your pages and several others under different names during this contest. We have even encouraged other to do so. We truly do not want you to win and hope you don't. We support two other weddings and you were getting high ratings. So there it is! Thought I'd confess at this last hour, especially since no one knows who I really am! Sorry!

Lame and repeatitive. Do you work or sleep? Or is this all you do? Show some class and bow out with some dignity in the final hours at least. Your actions have been truly disappointing and you have taken so much joy out of this for so many. Please read the rules as well. I wish you the best:

In giving my unbiased opinion, I think this "Erica Dodd" person (and her cohorts) are just too adamant about this thing and may be making negative comments under an alias on the different entries, in addition to duplicating and entering other peoples names and negative comments. I thought since this possibility was alluded to, I would try it myself to see if a person could do such a thing. I signed up using someone's name that had already signed up and that had made a positive comment, I then cut their comment and was able to paste it on another entry. I don't think The Knot thought this through, that someone would go this far, when they set up this site, but I'm glad to know that it's possible. It's interesting that this entry have received so many negative attacks although no one knows 100% for sure whose making what comments on this uncontrolled board; it's basically talk and for anyone to take what someone (especially if they are disguised) says as "law" would be naive. By the way, what's the reason for the "by Shoot Dem Bird" long on? This comment and the last one by "Erica Dodd" seems to be written by the same person.

Having been away for a while and to come back to comments like these are ludicrous! I don't believe Cenny or Frank would do any of what they've been accused of during this content. I'm glad it's over today and I hope The Knot has learned either not to encourage such behavior by allowing it to continue or the need to not have a contest like this in the future. Cenny and Frank: You both look wonderful, have always had my support and will continue to have it into the distant future. I'm glad you haven't allowed any of this to cause you to sink low with those who degrade. I truly hope you win, you deserve it, even after all the false accusations, the votes make it obvious that you have our support and those who don't even know you. See you soon!

The knot will have to disqualify you now as there is no covering up what you did now. Ppl can duplicate comments as you said, but comments post in order and you have to be signed in under that username for that username to appear. You tried to cover your tracks, but there is no disputing the truth now! Sad that some actually gave you the benefit of the doubt. So take a good look now everyone! Shantel Washington made the exact same comment FIRST, then Frank/CennyC. Norris. YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED!

Jessica, we chose soon after our entry not comment during this contest as a result of the negative comments made on our pictures by "Sarah Keller;" but, after reading yours, I thought you deserved a response from me, the real Cenny. I asked all my supporters not to respond to the nasty comments made on my pages or to comment on anyone else's wedding, but just to vote for me, and I see they have done just that. People have left so many rude and negative comments, some signing in as me and my husband and as if they were friends of ours. Because this was definitely unacceptable, to sign as if we were leaving the comments, we asked The Knot to remove them. Other than that, we could care less what someone says about us during this contest because we know they really don't know us, and we are not offended so easily. I read one entry where a bride cried because of such comments, sad but it shows you gotta have a backbone to deal with this kind of backbiting. With that said, I don't know who "D. Washington" is or any of the others that are commenting on my pages, yours, or the others during this contest. "Washington" may be one of my supporters but I'm sorry I do not know who she/he is and regret that it's assumed that I do. This entire contest has been very discouraging to me and my husband and we will never enter another one, at least not one where anybody can leave any kind comments saying just about anything they want. As a matter of fact, we could care less whether we win or not, at this discouraging point of the contest! I really do appreciate the kind comments you and others have given, but chose not to respond to those either. Just remember there are really mean, hateful, and just plain rude people hiding behind the Internet which, in fact, allows them to show their true colors. I strongly believe, "you reap what you sow" (Galatians 6:7) so they'll get it back one way or another. Cenny

Surprise surprise you think so D Washington or Im sorry I meant Frank and Cenny Norris. You are really not fooling anyone. Stop making bad comments on all the beautiful entries. You are childish, sad and ridiculous. Is it really that important to win? Never mind, we all know your answer from your actions.

OK, I tried to stay out of this, but it's obvious to me that these comments are entered purposely to: (1) keep the thread going for those who continue to fall for it and, (2) to accumulate views which will be calculated in the voting process. They know with comments like these, certain kinds of people will continue to return to their pages so they can accumulate views. They won't get another view/vote from me, not even to record the 1 heart I'd been given them. I don't think this couple has made one comment as it's really no need too. Instead, it may interfere with all the attention they're getting and decrease their views. Even with this said, I really do like the dress but with all the drama behind it, I'm OUT!

Well, I can believe that a contest, such as this, could cause so many people to raise their ugly heads! I'm glad the winner is not chosen on the comments as they show just how much prejudice (not necessarily racial) continues to exist in this wicked world. I don't think the wedding, photos, etc., are all that exceptional either, but it's only a contest. No one has asked for blood, sweat, or tears. I don't get, thru this submission, that the couple claimed that their wedding should win an award of 10 million dollars, the most they would get is publicity thru The Knot, which is not that big of a deal. Perhaps you all should use this occasion to get your hearts and minds moving in a more positive direction, not so much for this couple but in general. So many people have allowed a simple contest to cause them to be so distraught, angry, upset, or whatever other synonym you would like to use, over an entry into a contest where you really aren't winning much of anything! To the one that will win the trip to Cape Town, well, good for you. And because of the persecution and ridicule this couple has received, I hope they win the trip, really.

The proposal and wedding looked like fun. The video is very ordinary. Pretty good for an amateur effort, which I think it probably was (hope it was). As a professional, I saw and heard dozens of artistic and technical problems, which disquality it in my mind from the excellent category.
As for the racial overtones of this thread, which started almost exactly the same way as the horrible thread in the photo contest, this is the worst of the worst. I can't even imagine The Knot allowing it to continue....it deserves to be put in the trash.
Sorry, but that's how I feel.

Ada Hines, biggest load of bs Ive heard in my life. Dem Bird = Briana Butler = Len Bittle = Ada Hines = Frank & Cenny Norris! How absurd that anyone would say great things about their entries and knock everyone elses and tell people to view Frank and Cenny's entries just to fool others into thinking that they are behind it? Sure, thats why they havent said a thing to others under their own name instead of a psuedo name explaining that thye had nothing to do with all of it. You make no sense Ada! Or should we say, Frank and Cenny Noris.

Millie, Cenny, whoever you are- maybe you should get your head checked out? Because this...was pretty bad. And by pretty, I mean really.

An apology is only necessary when you've done something wrong; neither they nor their friends have done so, which I know for a fact. Any negative comments insinuating such has been recorded by people who want others to think they would participate in such inappropriate conduct, which you and many others, have been fooled into believing that they've actually done so. This shows how important it is to speak only when you know what you're talking about.

The problem isnt so much with their entries as much as it is with the fact that this couple or their family hasnt even apoligized for putting down others entries all the while directing voters to view their entries. Even if the couple didnt make those comments (although they more than likely did), they should apologize for their family/friends for their inappropriate actions. Millie is in all likelihood Frank and Cenny Norris as I find it hard to believe that anyone would support a couple who makes nasty comments to others, votes others down and promotes themselves.

Takin bout having a lot of time for some negative energy. I know this world and some of the people in it is wicked but wow! How can your mind be so hateful and twisted? Do you need to cleanse? Perhaps a prayer or two? It's not that serious! Comments like yours make me continue to vote 5 hearts for this couple. Their entries look just fine to me. All that energy you have can be better used elsewhere! Don't have a heart attack!

Whitney, I'm just getting in on this thread. Don't give them any hearts anymore on any day. From my understanding, the final determination of the winner is by how many views there are -- not by how highly rated they are. So don't come back to look at this person's website, photos or video anymore because each time you do, even if you vote it just one heart will put them one view higher ahead of other deserving entries. I'm sure they are thriving off all of this controversy and by people coming to click on their entries just to read the latest comments.

I think people are not only angry because you are voting for yourself, but because of the nasty comments you have left on other bride's entries. That is what is so sad about this. And it is even worse when you make it a racial issue- which it is far from being. I'm sorry, but the video and the photos are just NOT THAT GOOD. And the fact that they are rated so much higher than other entries? That suggests cheating. Not a racial issue. An honesty issue.
by Len Bittle
Apr 2, 2008
Why is it cheating when a black couple receive high ratings. Prejudice, perhaps??? There are several couples that are not black with ratings higher than this couple and nothing negative is said about their ratings. I hope this couple win just because of such ignorance!

One heart for you. Everybody, please join me. This kind of rudeness is just intolerable. I feel so sad for all of the brides on here whose entries have been victimized by this couple and their friends and family. I'll be giving you one heart every day until this contest ends. Shame on you both.

Can you please tell all your people to stop making mean comments about other people's videos so you can win. It's not very nice at all.

Now that was hilarious! Funny but sweet. You two are just made for each other. I love the way Frank kept calling you. The waterfall is breathtaking. Girl, you always thought you could sing, I truly enjoyed your debut. You had me hollering! I throughly enjoyed it and I can tell Frank did too. I truly wish you the most happiness in your marriage ever!
