Our entire wedding was planned around a theme of Art Deco New York City. We wanted our first dance to be reminiscent of those great old Astaire and Rogers movie musicals... and really wanted to take advantage of having our wedding at The Rainbow Room.
It was a complete surprise to everyone!
Our first dance was to “We Are in Love” by Harry Connick Jr.

What fun! It is so nice to see a couple with a choreographed dance that looked natural and really worked. Having produced over 600 wedding videos myself, I know it's always a balancing act in a dark room between lighting for the video and lighting for the atmosphere. While it would have been nice to have brighter images, I think the ambience of the Rainbow Room trumped a bright video. Also loved all the cutaways of the family and guests having as much fun as the couple. If you ever need help for a Rainbow Room wedding, give me a call, hehe.

Wow! really great job you two... I have seen couples try to plan a first dance many times and they just get stressed out and worry about doing it right rather than having fun... You guys really rocked it though! You knew exactly what you were doing and you had fun with it! I wish you all the happiness in the world :)

The idea of the bride and groom doing a performance for their first dance was fantastic. They are too adorable, but I felt the videographer could have done a better job with sound as you can hardly hear the song. But still - VERY cute!

It was a nice choreography, but a little over the top for a first dance. And, too long - they should have kept it to 2-2:30 minutes. They put a lot into this dance, but the lighting was so poor - their guests and the viewers of the video couldn't see all the elaborate moves.
